Simulating a cozy mountainside retreat with mini-chalets, the winter pop-up at the Four Seasons Palo Alto features a nightly snowfall, fireside movies and decadent treats for the entire family to enjoy. I had the pleasure of visiting Apres this past week with friends and I have to say the experience is exactly what you would expect from the Four Seasons in terms of service and luxurious experience. Seeing fellow guests sip on festive cocktails while enjoying Gruyere & Champagne fondue on the cozy outdoor terrace, I was transported away from the hustle and buzz of Silicon Valley to a posh Alpine Ski Resort. The signature Smores, with house-made graham crackers and vanilla bean marshmallow, are a must, so be sure to save room for dessert!
This week’s list of Holiday Events includes a variety of festive things to do, from the Teddy Bear Tea in the festively decorated Terrace Room at The Ritz-Carlton SF to Christmas in the Park in downtown San Jose. If you love a good Pop-Up shop, this coming Friday (12/6), the SF Etsy’s Winter Pop Up Shop will open and run thru December 22nd. Featuring goods from the SF Etsy Team and tenants of Makers Workspace, you’ll find products from 50+ local artists including jewelry, home goods, art prints, t-shirts, candles, bath and body, and so much more.
