This week’s list of Bay Area Events includes 4 lively foodie events with one taking place right here in Mountain View. The 48th Mountain View Art & Wine Festival will take place September 7-8 on Castro Street in downtown Mountain View. An authentic and moveable feast for the senses, this year’s festival will feature 500 professional artists and craft makers. According to a new report by the National Association of Realtors – based on a survey of its member agents – the purchase of U.S. homes by foreign nationals plunged in the 12 months through March 2019. The drop was particularly steep for Chinese nationals, for whom California has been the top destination. Thinking this through, the recent protests in Hong Kong proceeded this study, so it will be interesting to see how this unrest impacts buying behavior one way or the other.
We were pleased to represent the seller in the sale of this beautifully remodeled home, located at 525 Vista Avenue in San Carlos and just a short distance from its downtown. This property is highly stylized with transitional interiors, check out the massive Restoration Hardware chandelier in the kitchen. As soon as you enter the home, your attention is drawn though the great room to the sweeping city light views, which spans over the top of downtown and extend out to the San Carlos airport, where you can watch the small planes take off and land during twilight. Stay tuned, we have more interesting properties coming.

We got an early hop on the Los Altos Arts and Wine Festival this morning while they were still setting up. This is the 40th anniversary of the event, which attracts more than 150k visitors to the nearly 400 artisans in attendance. There’s all kinds of artwork, food and live entertainment, so hope to see you there.
We were excited to have represented the seller in the sale of this gorgeous home, located within the Waverly Park neighborhood of Mountain View. The open houses were attended in great number by visitors who simply came to take a look at what was the model home for the Enclave at Waverly Park community. Stay tuned, we have more interesting properties coming.
We were pleased to assist the sellers in the sale of this quintessential South Los Altos ranch home, which is set well back from the street. Located on a wide quiet loop, the character of this Los Altos neighborhood is established through abundant mature oak and deodar cedar trees. Enjoy the day-to-day convenience of being only a few short blocks from the Homestead Crossing Center, with its coffee houses, restaurants, banking, grocery store, service station and much more. While essentially isolated from traffic, this home still enjoys quick access to highway 280, with a connection to highway 85.
