10 Ideas For Creating A Beautiful Fall Home
Fall is a time for nesting and celebrating – a time to gather at home with family and friends. True, the gathering part may look different during these evolving times, but I believe now more than ever, it’s important to honor traditions. As nature lets her leaves fall, Autumn is our time to let the past 9 months of the year go and nest as we prepare for Wintertime.
10 Ideas For Creating A Beautiful Fall Home:
-
- After some quick housekeeping, store away any spring/summer decor, linens, and accessories till spring 2022.
- Recycle dingy towels and sheets into the household cleaning supply bin and replace them with clean white towels and linens.
- Clean, donate or toss any dusty houseplants, and consider replacing them with fall foliage like eucalyptus or twigs.
- Before you go out and order any decor, search your home. You will be surprised at what you already own.
- Gather bowls and containers and fill them with fall fruits to visually communicate the change in season.
- Layer pumpkins. An assortment of pumpkins in a range of hues will instantly transition your home for the fall season. Place them on your kitchen island, bookshelf, or coffee table.
- Layer real plants with faux on wreaths, centerpieces, and mantels.
- Switch to darker tableware.
- After you use what you have, make a list of those few items that will enhance what you have, ie: napkins, candles, real pumpkins, fall florals, feathers, chair slipcovers etc.
- Spruce up outdoor pots and borders by deadheading or removing summer annuals, replacing them with fall color.
