Bay Area This Week | 8 Fun Holiday Events

This week’s list of Holiday Events includes a variety of festive things to do, from the Teddy Bear Tea in the festively decorated Terrace Room at The Ritz-Carlton SF to Christmas in the Park in downtown San Jose. If you love a good Pop-Up shop, this coming Friday (12/6), the SF Etsy’s Winter Pop Up Shop will open and run thru December 22nd. Featuring goods from the SF Etsy Team and tenants of Makers Workspace, you’ll find products from 50+ local artists including jewelry, home goods, art prints, t-shirts, candles, bath and body, and so much more.

Have you always wanted to experience the holidays in Europe? Mark your calender, the German International School of Silicon Valley’s German Holiday Market (Weihnachtsmarkt) will take place in Mountain View on Saturday, December 14, 2019. Read more (HERE).

Other fun holiday events include Kepler’s Annual Holiday Party in Menlo Park, SantaCon San Francisco, free holiday family portraits at the Santa Clara City Library, and for the first time in seven years, The Beerwalk will bring the spirit of Christmas to Downtown Campbell this Wednesday evening (12/4).

Now thru Jan 5th 2020
For over 30 years, Plaza de Cesar Chavez has been transformed into Christmas in the Park, a holiday fantasy with over 60 musical and animated exhibits, glittering lights and the 60-foot Community Giving Tree.
Christmas in the Park officially opens for the 2019 season on November 29th, starting with the first Community Giving Tree Lighting Ceremony. From then on, the event is open every day, including Christmas, from 9 am to midnight through January 5, 2020.

Our holiday party is our way of thanking our loyal customers and supporters. Active Kepler’s Literary Circle members will receive an additional 10% off on all purchases made all day on Sunday, December 8th. Our booksellers and buyers will be available to help you select the perfect books for everyone on your holiday shopping list.

For the first time in seven years, The Beerwalk will bring the spirit of Christmas to Downtown Campbell, so get your ugly (or pretty) Christmas sweaters out!
Sat | Dec 7th | 10:00AM – 1:00PM

The Santa Clara City Library will be offering free holiday family portraits on December 7th from 10AM to 1PM. They will be offering a variety of backgrounds using our Green Screen. Each family that comes to the session will be given a digital copy of their photo for free! This event will be held in a drop-in format. No appointment is necessary.

An annual holiday tradition, children are invited to gather for Teddy Bear Tea in the festively decorated Terrace Room at The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco.
